Did JFK smoke weed in the White House? While serving as president of the United States, Kennedy reportedly joked that he wanted to smoke cannabis, and he did.

Supposedly on the night of July 16, 1962, Washington Post executive Jim Truitt provided Kennedy’s mistress Mary Meyer with marijuana for the president to smoke. Meyer went to the White House that evening with six joints, which Kennedy smoked three of. At first, he didn’t feel the effects, so he continued smoking, but he eventually passed on the fourth joint when he realized that he couldn’t adequately handle a national-security crisis while high, “No more. Suppose the Russians did something now.”
