Massive OCS Complaints: Redecan recalls $200,000 in suspected bug infested weed, CityNews tours facility

Well it didn’t take long for Redecan to respond to the massive social media outcry about their products having mould and bug infestations, making both public statements and having City News come to tour their facility.

Redecan provided a public statement to BNN BloomBerg News..

“We have stated that our company wishes to deal with this development seriously and urgently. RedeCan has therefore decided to act with the utmost caution and take the most prudent course possible without delay,” the company said in a statement provided to BNN Bloomberg. “We could say that we have only received five complaints out of 500,000 units sold. We could say that we have never received such a complaint since we became a [licensed producer] in 2014. But even one complaint is too many. And if there’s a problem we will fix it.”

I believe that Redecan is an excellent product and hope that they put all of this behind them. It should also be a strong warning to every other Canadian licensed cannabis producer out there to make sure this doesn’t happen to them.
