Medical Marijuana
Why 330,000 Canadians can’t get their medical cannabis from pharmacies?
One thing we’ve kept hearing since marijuana was legalized for recreational use across Canada last October, is that it’s made life very difficult for the 330,000 patients that use marijuana for medicinal reasons. The demand for cannabis has been so severe in the recreational market that it’s limited legal producers available supply to their existing medical customers.
I know at least a dozen people that use cannabis for medicinal reasons and they all buy from the black market. Price, taxes and availability all factor in their choice not to buy from legal sources, making medical cannabis available to customers directly from local pharmacies would make a ton of sense.
