At the time of this post, the beginner package starts for just under $800 – that sounds super expensive until you do the math.

U-Bud helps you seed 4 marijuana plants (remember the legal limit is 4 plants per household), that yields up to 14 ounces after the 3-4 months it takes to grow.

Considering that most legal pot is available for around $10 a gram, U-Bud says that for $800 you’ll be able to grow your own weed (14 ounces) worth roughly $4000.
