Disaster! I called the OCS for answers. Nevermind the delays, credit card purchases now disappearing?

Additional disturbing news about the OCS is surfacing tonight, it’s looking like the OCS launch has been a complete disaster and people are screaming for answers.

It’s 12:01 and I just bought pot from the Ontario Online Cannabis Store (OCS)

Here’s the latest update as of tonight..

Watch – Pot orders from OCS mysteriously disappear, 6 hour wait time to talk to customer service

First thing I did tonight was check my credit card and it still shows ‘pending’ — It hasn’t completely disappeared and hopefully that’s a good thing..

I waited for 90 minutes on hold yesterday to talk to a customer service rep at the OCS.

Feeling quite sorry for them as you know they are getting a bunch of nasty calls, I politely asked the lady about the status of my order.

Me – Hi there, I’m order #7078 and hoping you can tell me the status of my order please

OCS – I’m sorry, we don’t have access to that information in our system

Me – I ordered on October 17th, do you have a record of my order on your computer?

OCS – No, I can’t provide an answer for you

Me – Can you tell me if my order was cancelled? I heard on the news that some orders had problems and not processed

OCS – You will need to call in the morning or send an email for additional support. It’s probably not a good idea to wait 6 hours to speak to someone the next time though.

Me – Ok, hope you have a good evening. Thanks

So I emailed OCS customer support right after the call to get an answer, I haven’t heard back yet. Nothing on the status of my order and no way of getting any information.

With multiple reports of customers checking their bank and having disappearing credit card charges, there is NO way to get any answers from the OCS.

Update: Well, we got a response from the OCS on Twitter to be fair

I talked to a friend on Linkedin today, he said that he’s order 22,000+ something and DID get a second confirmation email that his order was ready to ship. What about my order at #7078?

I’ve been good this year.. I’m hoping Santa will have a special little gift for me under the tree this Christmas because it doesn’t look like the OCS is sending anything my way soon.
