The Business of Weed
Despite the doom and gloom, forecasts for the Canadian cannabis industry remain bright
Nobody said it would be easy. The day after cannabis went legal in Canada last October and it was apparent that I wasn’t going to get my OCS order in a couple of business days as advertised, it was the first indicator that the whole legal pot thing in Canada would take some time before we got it right. Looking at the Colorado or California example, it’s going to take at least a couple of years before things start to fall in place, edibles being the next major milestone later this year.
Cannabis experts still say the industry’s forecast remains sky high, even with the challenges observed during the first seven months of legalization.
