As I just got back into partying, got in touch with some old friends who were coming into town to visit family over the Labor Day weekend. Everybody spent Friday with family but twelve of us got together on Saturday night. We spent the night tokin', drinkin' coolers, and listening to everything from Rush to Floyd to Zeppelin. That's the big difference between today's crowd and ours. There still is that sense of unity that we shared so many years ago. I think the best part of the night was when we were tokin' and listening to that entire 1976 Boston (now cd of course) by Boston. It was just cool doing something here in 2019 that we had done in 1976. We're a hell of a lot older, but it was just damn sweet to be together again. This weekend I've changed my rule and have accepted to go to a party where I've been invited even though I'm almost 60 and they're in their 20s. Who the hell said the party had to end?
