Very delighted to be here. I sold weed way back in the 70s and lived daily with Panama Red or Acapulco Gold. Between weed and acid or mescaline and the occasional Thai stick, times were good. Married and retired from weed, only the occasional joint. With my 60th birthday upcoming, decided to try weed again. It's been a great homecoming! Like an old friend that you'd forgotten but were happier than hell to see again. Now I'm going to dabble and return to smoking with my retired auto worker friends. Now with a little money to invest, I'm looking to get back to the business I loved so much, selling great weed, probably keeping a low profile as such. When you're retired, you've got lots of free time. I'm probably going to look into MOM business
As Zeppelin sang, "it's been a long time." Just smoked my first weed since the 70s and now I'm starting to study the world's greatest plant. Where I live everybody is growing their own weed and, without a store, the black market is down to $140 an ounce. For shit! Fuck skunk. I grew up with Acapulco Gold and Panama Red and made a good buck back then. Now that I'm happily retired I'm going to look into wholesale through mail order. So if you've got some recommendations, they're much appreciated. I'll be sharing my journey with you shortly. I'm about to turn 60 and now that I've left the corporate world behind, it's time for a good time.
Your stories (this and the other) are so amazing, you seem like such an awesome person! I am so glad to hear that you want to get back into the canna-business! Yeah, things have definitely changed from the way you put it but at least things seem to be a lot safer.
If you are thinking of starting your own MOM, you should definitely check out the list I made in our MOM forum area. You can easily compare all of their products and see how the current businesses are doing things. Please continue to share as you are, I would love to hear how your retirement venture is playing out!
Also! You inspired me to start a new forum thread. I called it "Green Gardener's Journal." You can use it as a daybook for all of your new, yet old, -found adventure! I put it under the "Growing Your Own Marijuana" section! So excited to hear how it's going!
Hello and nice to meet you I would love to find a grower who does the old classics along with a fewer of the newer strains and yet sell it at reasonable prices with good customer service There are a lot of moms out there already for sure but some are not so good as I've and others I'm sure have found out I hope you enjoy your retirement and enjoy your possible new business venture
Thank you very kindly. That's the beauty of smoking, you always find a great sense of unity with fellow smokers.
Thanks for your kind words. I just wanted to let you know that what I'm finding is a lot of friends near my age (I'm about to turn 60) take pride in growing their supply the old-fashioned way. I guess some of us never changed our ways since the 70s. If I find someone worth mentioning, I'll get back to you.
Thanks for the info. While many people like the idea of growing their own, I would rather invest in money in some quality bud and leaving he growing to the experts. I am fortunate to be living in a retired community where I can't think of a single person who doesn't smoke. Everyone wants you to sample their product, but I'm more interested in buying at least a pound at a time and selling it off in ounces at close to wholesale prices. Life is much easier when you inherit money. I have one goal in my neighborhood, to share quality weed with our neighborhood. I always thought that when weed became legal it would elevate the standard of what people smoked, but instead what I have found is more people are smoking shit because it's cheap. If I had ever smoked with low standards, I wouldn't have smoked! Thanks for the forum. It's great to see a united community.
I have found the same thing lately some moms are ove4r charging for mediocre weed at best What I have found is a BC mom that is selling very decent cannabis at very decent prices on sale I will do another order with them and get back as to if the quality is still there on the 2nd order with them I<m thoroughly impressed with what I picked up for a measly 125 a ounce I am kind of shocked at the price to quality ratio but he's sold out now of all the super sale stuff but apparently will be replenishing soon I will order again as soon as he restocks and get back to here on if the quality is still up there
