This week we are hoisting the flag at half-mast to say goodbye to our friend, and the longest-running cannabis bakery in Canada, Baked Edibles Inc. A company that has filled MOMs across the provinces with sweet and decadent treats for years. Baked Edibles has announced that Pasha Brands will be taking over their line of success, but that they will change the products after the switch.

The email that Baked Edibles sent to their customers explained that “at midnight on July 28th, our team will take the final order from our full menu of Baked Edibles products.” Meaning that there is still a small amount of time for those who still want to make purchase orders through their site.

The company taking over Baked Edibles, Pasha Brands, is a group that is currently working to make more and more cannabis-related products legal rather than grey-area illegal and harder to maintain as a business, according to co-founder Patrick Brauckmann in an interview during Lift Vancouver in January.

For me, the saddest part of Baked Edibles being bought is the chance that the products could be completely different. We can only hope that with so many people in love with the original products, Pasha Brands won't change anything too much. The entire switch over starts today according to the letter that Baked Edibles put out.

My favourite product Baked Edibles was their infused honey, the most perfect ingredient in a big bowl of oatmeal. I will truly miss them but I doubt Pasha can change honey too much, haha.

I can see corporate greed being used to lower quality and raise prices somewhat. My bet is the passion that the original owners had for that business will be lost and money will rule but I also think the original owners will get back into the business eventually and start all over At least I hope so

@pothead, that is exactly what I think happens too. When the big fish eats the little fish; bigger fish are less picky than the little ones when it comes to quality. It's all about quantity with the big'uns. It's crazy to me when little guys have the end game plan to be boughten. I wonder if businesses like that are small yet still very much so money-driven that it pushes the quality straight down.

Man, I'm going to miss them so much! Hoping for the best too!

I did see that Baked Edibles are still available on Supherbs website! Looks like they back-ordered a good amount! Too bad some of the really good stuff is out-of-stock (from the news probably), like one of their infused fudge brownies and their peanut butter cups. At least they still have the stronger brownies, chocolates, and a bunch of other stuff. I really want to try their enchantmints, hahah, infused and enchanted mints.

Supherbs customer service just got back to me! They said that they have one last ordering coming in from Baked Edibles and then that will be the last of their supply. Looks like we might get some peanut butter cups after all!!

I wouldn't worry too much but finding another producer of edibles that you like might be a bit difficult . I expect to see more competition especially with the government side of it selling soon The black market will counter that with more edible choices available to order online and it will probably be cheaper and higher in THC and CBD.

I can only imagine a large factory bakery ... smelling purely of sugar and cannabis. What an absolutely amazing place that would be to work!! I'm really curious what happened to Baked Edibles. Did they want to sell from the beginning to a larger company? Did they just need the cash? Did they just get tired of the business? It worries me just a little bit whenever a small fish is eaten by a larger one, but capitalism may just be the biggest and scariest fish out there.
